When Walker looked up from threading his belt through the loops of his jeans Luke was leaning agains the doorframe. His lover gave him a smile before giving him an obviouse once over.

"Looking good Mr David Walker" Luke smiled, and Walker stepped forward, Luke's hand warm on his hip. "You off to Maple's tonight?"

"Yup - it is Friday. You got plans?"

"Yeah." He could feel Luke's nod, a scuff of stubble against his hair. "Thought I'd head into town - Steve and a bunch of the guys from work are watching the rugby at the Bok Bar - it should be a good match."

Walker pulled back, looking up to see if by any faint chance Luke was teasing him.

"You're going to the Bok Bar? On rugby night? You have some kind of death wish?"

His incredulity was writ large in his voice. Luke's responce was mostly non-vocal - a disbelieveing sound, and Walker felt every inch of their height diference when Luke stood up straight, putting distance between them.

"Walker! - God. What are you expecting? - Honestly - just because a place doesn't fly the rainbow flag and hand out Boyz on the door! Talk about prejudice being alive and well! I never thought ..."

"Um, Luke?" Walker tried to interupt, his hand resting on his boyfriend's muscled arm throuh the white shirt sleeve.

"What?" Luke pushed his hair back with one hand, glaring at Walker. "Jesus - is it because it's the Bok' or do you think all rugby players are homophobic thugs? There's a gay rugby league, for christ's sake!"

Ranting-Luke was a pretty impressive sight, once you figured out that you were out of the firing line. Sexy too. There was no way Walker could keep the rich tone of ammusement out of his voice.

"Luke - babe"

"It's not funny Walker!"

Oh that was the final straw, and he was chuckling.

"What?" Luke demanded.

Luke was starting to sound actually irritated. Not good. Walker forced himself to explain, closing the distance between them to stop Luke's next sentance with a kiss. Yup, definately sexy.

"Luke." Walker tried to squash the laughter in his voice "Luke - seriously, it's not the gay thing."

"No?"

"No."

"Then what the hell..?"

"You want to go to the Bok bar, on a rugby night?" Luke shrugged and nodded."Wearing an England shirt? After last week's result?"

The start of a blush followed comprehension over Luke's face as he looked down, registering what he was wearing, a small smile was tugging at the corners of his mouth.

"Oops." Luke offered sheepishly.

"Oops." Walker agreed, sliding his hands down to tug at the hem of the shirt. "Want me to fix the problem?"

"Let me guess - does your solution involve me getting naked and you mysteriously not messing up your club clothes?"

"Damn right it does."

"Love that plan."

For the record Lke agrees with you absolutely about the desirability of most rugby players legs - he just doesn't think it applies to him *rolls eyes*.

Danke for the comments - much appreciated, here and everywhere else.
