[livejournal.com profile] cicirossi hasn't done one of these in a long while, so I thought I'd borrow the idea for a spell.

Three 'trigger' words and an object. Do with them as you will, and comment here with a link to what you come up with. No deadline, no stress.

the words?

curl, crow, capture and the object : a cup [or glass/mug/chalice - something that fills that role]

Possible 'Shrieking Vengeance' Snippet

Touch of punk, girl band. Not that anyone's paying attention to the punk, the message or the music. It's near midnight and drinks just went at half-price; half the bar's up at the counter banging out orders for more poison and nursing foaming top mugs.

Dulce eyes the sea of frat boys and once upon a time frat boys. Her lips roll into a sneer. It goes with the song and it helps vent her frustration. Technically, this is a good gig. They're getting paid, enough for everyone to buy groceries for a month or put it aside as 1/5 of their rent.

But it's almost soul killing to see a bunch of booze hounds watching their tits and asses and hair and not paying attention to them.

Alice worked on this song for months. And Jamie's working the drum staccato like she's possessed. Dulce closes her eyes so she doesn't have to see their audience as Capture Me winds down.

They have ninety more minutes to this set and then they can go crawl home and curl up in bed.

Petal's bass line thrums a minute and Dulce opens her eyes, spinning around as For The Crows starts out of sequence. The dark haired girl motions with her chin to an out of place businessman at the back of the bar.

And he is a businessman for all his jeans and Henley wearing; the slobs here don't have desiger faded denim, clean shirts or unscuffed sneakers.

Record producer ?

Hopeful Dulce injects some juice into her voice.

"Wasn't just another, fly by night chick.
I wanted more than a really good bed click.
So when you left, I didn't take it lying down.
Took the chance to show who really holds the crown.

Amazon girl. I'm an Amazon girl.
You could have had the world
I would have been your pearl
Amazon girl. I'm an Amazon girl.
So now when I'm done
All that's left in the sun
Will be
For the Crows
Will be...for the crows"

Re: Possible 'Shrieking Vengeance' Snippet

ohhh - lovely - and you worked the words in so subtly I had to go back and hunt for them! - I'm a little bit ?? by the 90+ minute set - very few bands play that long, especially not punk bands - 45 mins to an hour tops even for a headline band normaly - but the kick in mood when they spot the possible scout it palpable, and - mmmm. yes.

Re: The set *smacks head*

Nineteen.

< -- Space-case.

We'd even argued about how much time was left. Because they'd just worked through a break.

*hugs*

Anyway, glad you liked.

Ok, I'll bite. I got one over here:

BTW: Curl was REALLY hard to work in.

I had problems with 'capture' because I think I was intending to set 'caught'.

*scurries off to read*

Now, I got me hundreds of ideas for chaining someone up, or tying them down or... Ok, I'll stop now.

But curling? Now that was the cincher.
